2008年五月，韓國首爾的萬人燭光集會上，民眾群起發聲，抗議政府開放美國牛肉進口。《南韓反美牛實錄》一片，忠實紀錄了韓國人為捍衛自身權益，如何透過網路串聯的力量，發起自發性的大規模抗爭遊行。從家庭主婦到學生；上班族到學者，全民一起檢視美牛進口議題，主流媒體因此重新修正報導的內容，甚至政府決策也做了必要的調整。
在數位時代，當大眾不再信任政府和媒體時，擁有數位攝影設備和手機簡訊的人民可以互相號召上街遊行示威抗議，所有活動都透過網路播放，吸引上百萬人在收看。新聞的窗口改變了，威力十足的數位民主世代已然來臨了。
In a digital era, what happens when the public no longer trusts the government and newspapers? In Korea, with digital cameras and SMS, citizens gathered to march against government’s decision and condemn tainted journalism.Every move was broadcast live through webcams where a million people tuned in – as they witnessed the formation of digital democracy.
